It’s not said enough how important it is to keep horses, our beloved creatures, safe and protect them from things that they can’t control by themselves. Although there have been a lot of initiatives and projects who have tried to raise awareness by giving very useful information for all riders, horse owners and drivers, there are a lot of irresponsible people who still mistreat horses by doing terrible acts.
The RSPCA, The Largest Animal Welfare Charity in the UK has denounced a shocking video showing two horses attached to vehicle racing with each other in the middle of the road, where a lot of other cars were passing near them. The video was first posted on Twitter on 8 January shows the poor horses taking part in what looks like an illegal road race happening on the main road.
It has been stated that the road may be in Essex, but Essex Police still hasn’t given out a comment to confirm it. The video was captured from a car directly behind the two colored horses, each drawing a lightweight net. Amidst a lot of voices and noises, there can be a loud male voice can be heard calling: “Keep going boys, keep f*** going.”
The video ends suddenly and it is not clear what happened next to the horse or driver. We really hope that the horse was not hurt and that the people behind this horrific act were all arrested by the police. Below we decided to post the video, just so more people can be aware of what terrible acts can happen to horses if we don’t report them.
