Posted on December 24, 2019 by Horse Spirit

As soon as we mention draft horses the first thing that comes to our mind is their strength and their large body. A draft horse is a large horse initially bred to be a working animal and perform hard tasks such as plowing and other farm work.

There is a various number of breeds, with diverse characteristics, but they all share general characteristics of power, tolerance, and a docile temperament which made them essential to generations of pre-industrial farmers. They are easy to recognize because of their signature look which includes huge hooves, large body, and gentle spirit.
