All the equestrians enjoy watching horse movies and never say no to watch a new horse movie at the cinema. We always applaud the actors and directors for doing such an amazing job but don’t give the recognition they deserve to the lead actors: horses. They do tremendous work and can be considered without a doubt, born actors. Below we have decided to compile a list with some of the film’s most exceptional horse actors.

Maximus is a palace horse first owned by the captain of the Corona guard. Although he is seen as a form of transportation and pet to some, Maximus is actually way more serious and efficient than the captain himself. He is very determined and dedicated to his work.

Hidalgo is a wonderful Spanish Mustang, a breed who is considered America’s first horse. This legendary horse managed to win the 3,000 miles Middle Eastern “Ocean of Fire”, the epic battle between a Spanish mustang and some powerful Arabian horses.

Movie: Seabiscuit (2003)
The movie takes place during The Great Depression, starring Seabiscuit, an undersized racehorse, in his hard but rewarding journey to become a true champion. In a tough time for all the Americans, when they all lacked something to believe in, Seabiscuit came to the rescue and filled the whole nation with hope.

Black Beauty is a very successful autobiography movie that tells the unbelievable story of Black Beauty, a black stallion who recounts the story of his life, from his birth through his entire incredible life. He strives during his whole life but in the end, he finds the peace and love that he deserves.
