The Marvelous Birth Of A Gypsy Vanner Foal

Posted on December 3, 2019 by Horse Spirit

Gypsy Vanner is a unique breed that is known across the world for its eye turning look. Every horse lover would love to own a Gypsy Vanner horse because they are beautiful, well-built and most importantly very kind. One of the people who have the lucky chance to own one is Alanna Light, an American Youtuber who posted a video on her YouTube channel, which shows footage of the labor and birth of a lovely Gypsy Vanner filly.

Alana bought the 5 years old Gypsy Vanner horse named GRF Little Fendi when she was 4 months pregnant. She would hand walk her every day during the pregnancy because the horse would stock up.  Alana took care of her in every little detail and even installed a security camera application in which she spent two weeks waking up every few hours to check on her horse.

Finally, on May 24, 2018, Fendi’s water broke and as you can see it yourself, she lay down grunting and when by the time she got up he foal’s legs were outside of her. After a few seconds, she went back down and gave birth to the little foal.

It so emotional to watch such a beautiful natural birth without human interference and we are so proud of the mare who was able to give birth to her baby all on her own. At the end of the video, we can see the horses staying together and they look both healthy and happy.
